Golden Eagles Down Perry Central In 2A Section 8 Tournament
The Johnson Central Golden Eagles picked up a nice win as they defeated Perry County Central, 2-0, in the 2A Section 8 Tournament in Prestonsburg on Wednesday.
Brayden Shepherd earned Double Kwik Player of the Game honors with a triple and a run scored. He also made several key put outs to end innings and help preserve the win and making a huge impact with both his bat and glove. Kyler Callaham had a single and run scored. Chase Preece and Mason McKenzie each recorded a single.
Levi Pennington pitched 4 innings, allowing no hits and striking out 3 batters to get the win. Karson Powers pitched 3 innings, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 5 batters to get the win.
