Golden Eagles Win 57th District Championship
The Johnson Central Golden Eagles captured the 57th District Championship with a 93-79 win over Martin County on Thursday night at Johnson Central High School.
Johnson Central's Brayden Shepherd was named the Double Kwik Player of the game with 29 points. Austin Slone had 17 points. Mason McKenzie netted 13 points.
For Martin County, Braxton Keathley led all scorers with 38 points. Brayden Marcum followed with 15 points. Devan Maynard added 11 points.
Johnson Central's cheerleaders also won the 57th District cheer competition, making it a clean sweep for the Golden Eagles.
