Hazard Holds Off Powell County
It was a tale of two halves between the Hazard Bulldogs and Powell County Pirates on Monday. The two teams traded the lead 18 times in the first half before the Bulldogs took control and kept the advantage for the entire second half for a 75-70 win in Hazard.
Seth Caudill was the Double Kwik Player of the Game as he blistered the nets for 35 points. It was a big night for Caudill. Before the game, he was honored with balls for his 2,000th career point and 500th career rebound. Caudill is considered the front runner for the 14th Region Player of the Year.
Trace Kincaid hit some huge shots for Hazard and finished with 14 points. Talan Osborne had a big night with 15 points.
For Powell County, Tucker Ramsey kept the Pirates in the game with 25 points. Bryson Edwards added 16 points. Colton Cook scored 13 points. Conner Morguson finished with 11 points.
Hazard will host Clay County on Thursday. Powell County will host East Jessamine on Friday.
