Panthers Blow Past Tolsia
The top-ranked (Class A) Tug Valley Panthers jumped out early and never looked back as they rolled to a 101-37 win over the rival Tolsia Rebels on Saturday night in Naugatuck.
The Panthers (12-4) raced out to a 19-3 after the first quarter and then built that lead to 56-12 at the half before rolling to a victory that saw them reach the century mark for the first time this season.
Tug Valley forced 31 Tolsia turnovers in the win.
Braydun Ferris was named the Tug Valley Wellness Center Player of the Game with 21 points for the Panthers. Zade Rash followed with 14 points. Aiden Copleand added 13 points. Braxton Farley netted 11 points. Aiden Fleming had 8 points. Carson Newsome scored 6 points. Bryson Elia and Preston May had 5 points each. Bryson Richardson and Jackson Jewell added 4 points apiece. Jace Hale fired in 3 points. Cameron Slone finished with 2 points.
For Tolsia, Steeler Salmons led the way with 22 points. Nate Bryant had 6 points. Brody Caudill added 5 points. Dakota Blackburn finished with 4 points.
Tug Valley will next host Belfry on Tuesday. Tolsia will travel to Ironton St Joe on Thursday.
