Tigers Make Statement With Win Over Top Ranked Capital
The 3rd ranked (Class AAA) Chapmanville Tigers sent a message to the rest of the state on Tuesday as they defeated the top ranked (Class AAA) Capital Cougars, 63-47, in Chapmanville.
The game entered the fourth quarter tied at 41-41, but the Tiger defense clamped down and held the Cougars to only 6 points in the frame and won running away.
Jay Brock led the Tigers (16-3) with 13 points. Dakota Dalton followed closely with 12 points. Benji Adkins added 10 points. Kai Martin and Keaton Terry had 9 points each. Eli Smith fired in 8 points. Logan Hovanec finished with 2 points.
David Robinson Jr led Capital with 13 points.
Chapmanville will next play at Williamstown on Friday.
